Ten sure things
you can usually depend on when Bush's approval rating drops to dangerous
levels:
1) A televised
speech in which our Commander-in-chief reminds us of the importance
of sticking with his (and ONLY his) ideals no matter what the costs
are.
2) The
terror threat level being raised a notch.
3) Fox News diverting resources to non-political things like the
Michael Jackson trial.
4) A reminder from the GOP that Democrats are trying to undermine
America with their unpatriotic sentiment.
5) Renewed interest in political issues -- like social security
and the Supreme Court -- that would otherwise detract attention
from overseas policy.
6) Ann Coulter writing another column about how all liberals should
be put in concentration camps and be gassed.
7) Fred Phelps spouting off from his Kansas-based church about how
everything negative happening in the world is "God's Will."
8) News that American troops have seized an insurgent stronghold
and have executed hundreds of terrorists.
9) Lawmakers start to throw around exact dates for potential withdrawal
of American troops from Iraq even though nothing official is ever
decided.
10) John Kerry feeling grateful that he didn't get stuck with this
job.
